Johann Sebastian Bach, Lobt Gott, ihr Christen, allzugleich (BWV 609)
Here is another one of my attempts to make Bach's contributions to his fabulous Orgelbüchlein sound reasonably enough for publication - his BVW 609, nearly at the end of the Advent and Christmas cycle in this volume.
The brief choral competes with others for a place in the "shortest-ever" Bach compositions. It reminds me of the tales about his performance brevity, "...where Bach got a reprimand from his boss that he had played the organ too long in a service, so at the next opportunity he deliberately stopped too early, just to tork him off."
