Rune Lindsten (b. 1932) — Bön (Prayer) (1993) for organ
Swedish composer Rune Lindsten (b. 1932) was born in Säter (Delcarlia) and worked for many years as a math and science teacher in his hometown. He also held posts as assistant organist for churches throughout the region and toured as a pianist and organ recitalist in Sweden, the USA, and Canada. As a composer, Lindsten has published numerous works for organ. His musical style is broadly “late romantic”—blending seamlessly elements from the Oskar Lindberg “school” of Swedish romanticism with influences from the later 20th century.
